St. Patrick's day is only a week away. So do you feel lucky? Winning big in the TBG St. Patrick's day event requires 'lucky beer'. What is 'lucky beer' you ask? Brew any Irish Red or any other beer style that is made with green food coloring as a flavoring and it becomes 'lucky' beer. Drinking and/or brewing lucky beer makes you eligible for special pub prizes.
So starting right now any Irish Red beer made in game is automatically 'lucky.' Any other style can be made 'lucky' if green food coloring is part of the recipe. So brew and sell any Irish Red or any other style of green beer and you will be considered a 'lucky beer maker' for the event. It is very important NOT to put this beer into your conditioning room, it must go straight from the fermentation tanks into Cold Storage and out to sale to participate. Any beer of the same style that you already have in storage will automagically become lucky when you add a new lucky batch to your inventory.
If you don't have green food coloring in your unlocked ingredients yet there is still plenty of time to get that unlock before the event starts. Here is a hint... the key to unlocking green food coloring and many other flavoring ingredients is to buy food for other people in the pub. It's a fairly quick unlock so get started serving up tasty dishes and you will get lucky in no time!
Now the beer engine might penalize you for adding food coloring to your beer style and your quality rating may drop just for a batch or two. That's just the price you have to pay to play!
So here's how this will work... If you drink a lucky beer while you are in the pub then you get a raffle ticket, every lucky beer gets you one extra ticket and one extra chance to win. If you are drinking a lucky beer at the time the raffle grand prize is drawn then it will be double what the prize would otherwise have been. This means that with a full pub and lots of tickets the raffle prize could climb as high as $2000 brew bucks! While enjoying your lucky beer you will find that all of the pub coins turn into shamrocks. Hidden in some of the shamrocks are more brew money prizes. If you are not drinking lucky beer then you can't win.
And for the lucky beer brewers... When one of your customers wins a shamrock prize while drinking your lucky beer... you win too, a separate prize that is 1/2 the amount will be immediately deposited in your brewery. The only catch is that you have to be online and active in the pub to be eligible for these prizes. But why stop there? If a raffle ticket holder is drinking one of your lucky beers and wins the (grand prize) raffle... half the amount of the raffle will also be deposited in your account. And with raffles all doubled in size now this could be as much as $1000 brew bucks. So get everybody in the pub to drink your lucky beer and you have a chance to win some serious brew money! As with the shamrock prizes you must be online and active in the pub to win.
To see an updated list of which beers are lucky you can follow this link TBG Lucky Beers Please note that your label style must be Irish Red, changing the recipe style to Irish Red does not qualify, use green food coloring instead to make other beer styles into lucky beer. Also note that if you have an Irish Red and don't see it in the list it might be because your inventory is empty, brew some and you will be added back to the list.
So remember... the prizes have not started yet, that will main event will start this Friday. But you should start brewing lucky beer now and planning your inventories so that you have plenty available for the event!
