TBG's happy hour schedule (1 HH every 6 hours) was designed to accomodate our players from around the world and that's great. But I have always been aware that the schedule was not ideal for players in North America. The 3PM (6 PST) Happy Hour is too early for players on the west coast and the 9PM (12 PST) event is too late for players on the east coast, especially on weekdays when people have to get up early for work and school. Since the number of players from North America has grown sizeable it is a prime time to try and fix the problem.
Clyde and I debated the merits of doubling the number of happy hours and decided that doing so would greatly reduce it's purpose of concentrating players together in the pub at unique times. A compromise is to simply add one additional HH at 6PM (9PM PST) which we hope will make for better evening play opportunities for the largest number of TBG players. Of course we always hope to increase our overseas player base and will gladly add more HHs when those player populations warrant the change! Here is the new schedule.
For those of you who are new to the game and ask what is so special about Happy Hour? During each HH all food is half price and label limits are doubled. So you can sell twice as much beer twice as fast and drink a hell of a lot more too! Also Clyde holds a raffle and awards a sizeable brew money cash prize which can be a real help for new players who want to improve their brewery fast. You can tell when it is Happy Hour by a small beer glass icon that will appear on the pub tab.
Make sure to keep an eye out for the new style competition and virtual beer judge certification features which should be added to the game in two weeks or less... also Clyde tells me that the Christmas/Holiday event is going to include prizes that are different from anything you have seen before and you will not want to miss out!
