A few players complained that the 'Labels on Parade' promotion forces them to become Facebook users. They said that they don't do Facebook, don't want to do Facebook, and suggested it was unfair for TBG to force them to do Facebook to take advantage of the offer. After I thought about it I agree. The point of the promotion is not to force anybody to become a Facebook fan or even a Facebook user. The point of the promotion is instead to show our best labels and to get people to talk about the labels preferably in public forums outside of the game itself.

Both of those goals can be accomplished if I change the promotion to simply require that you post in the game community page (after logging in) to collect your winnings without requiring a post on Facebook itself. Done! Since I make the rules, I can change them. I will adjust the original published article to reflect the new rules so that future readers are not confused. You are still required to visit TBG's Facebook site to see the 'Labels on Parade' postings but anybody can do this without having a Facebook account. By keeping the 'official' posts in one place everybody has a chance to see 'likes' and comments that any particular label generates.

If you do Facebook then I encourage you to engage with TBG's Facebook page, promote your labels on that page when they show up, and let the world know that TBG has a vibrant community and a lot to offer to brewers. If you see another player's label that you drink regularly, that you remember fondly, or particularly like, then by all means post a comment on it! I've already confessed that I am asking you to help market the game, now I am just suggesting an easy way to do it!
