A couple of brewers noticed that their beer quality shot above 1000 yesterday. Thanks to gbeam for calling my attention to it. A dormant bug coincidentally appeared for these players at the same time while brewing different beer styles. After digging into it I found the problem to be a bit worse than I thought at first. This bug mostly affects the newer styles and a few older styles that I adjusted earlier this year. The common factor is all of these styles have ingredients that either must be present, or must not be present. Also any batch that was brewed using the sour beer ingredients may have been affected.

When the bug manifested itself your beer qualities were usually (but not always) higher than they should have been. That means with this correction that you may experience a drop in quality on some of your styles. When in doubt, check your recipe. While any style could have been effected, the following styles will see a more dramatic change in the engine's quality assessment.

The beer quality system is now on a my watch list so let me know if you see anything else funny. If you brew one of these and have problems and you are sure that your recipe is good then by all means let know. Since I corrected a few different problems that were offsetting each other I want to make sure that beer qualities are now working as intended. Thanks for your patience.
