St. Pat's event is on

Well, you know how this always goes... the St. P. day event code is done and I am not going to just sit on it waiting for the weekend to arrive, hell no! Let's start the party early.

And I am very happy to report that ya'll took my advice and it looks like we have over 9600 lucky beers brewed at last count. Want to know which beers are lucky? Just check out the news article below for the full list and make sure that you spend as much time in the pub as you can this weekend and drink as many Irish Red and Green beers as you can.

Raffle

So here's how this works... If you drink a lucky beer while you are in the pub then you get a raffle ticket, every beer. But there is more. While you are enjoying that little bit of Irishness in your beer you will discover that all the pub coins have turned into shamrocks... and hidden in those shamrocks are potentially very large brew money prizes! So collect 'em and collect 'em fast! 'cause when your beer runs dry they turn back into ordinary pub coins and there is nothing particularly special about them.

After you start drinking a lucky beer don't fret because it will usually take the game a few seconds to deliver your shamrocks, you will still get a full 2 minutes to potentially win and if you drink another one right quick then I'm sure you'll be in the money in no time at all. But remember that if you are not in the pub, or afk, then you are not eligible to win.

Mo money

But... but... isn't there something in this for the lucky beer brewers too!? Of course! When one of your customers wins a prize while drinking your lucky beer... you win too, a separate prize that is 1/2 the amount will be immediately deposited in your brewery too. And Clyde's not going to get cheap on you here either, if the drinker gets $1 brew buck, then 50% of that is $1 brew buck. If the drinker gets $100 brew bucks, then you get $50. Not too shabby. In order to collect your winnings as a brewer though you do have to be online and in the pub.

But why stop there? If the raffle winner is drinking one of your lucky beers and wins the raffle... half the amount of the raffle will also be deposited in your account. Seriously. So get everybody in the pub to drink your lucky beer and you are guaranteed to win at least half of the raffle prize! How cool is that!?

One last reminder... all the 'lucky beer prizes' require your glass to be full, there will be no reward for you, no reward for the brewer, and no half raffle award given if you 'were drinking one... but it just ran out', sorry folks but that's the rules, so keep your glasses full, full, full!

Happy St. Patrick's day all, have fun, drive safe... Brew beer, drink beer, play!

P.S. I have turned off keg parties during this event to keep it fair.

Small issue with the event. It has been reported and I have confirmed that every once in a while (in MSIE only) drinking a lucky beer will not cause the shamrocks to appear. The prizes are still rewarded and switching to a different lucky beer and back again seems to clear it up. I don't think this should cause too much trouble but I am looking for the problem anyway and hope to have it cleared up soon. The problem so far seems to be restricted to Microsoft browsers.

I added a 'Lucky Beers' link to the game page. It is not easy to change the pulldown boxes and Im sorry that I cant provide direct links for drinking the lucky beers in the pop-up, but I think this will help you to find lucky beers faster by giving you the most up to date name and image.

You will see this link again next week when I introduce six-packs to the game! Fun fun!
